make sure the cat has many options to escape the dog/puppy. Also, they make sure the litter box and cat food is not where the dog/puppy can get to it. Dogs & puppies tend to think both are sources of yummy stuff (ew).

Supervise their interactions, and I would recommend crate training for the puppy. I always recommend that anyway. ;)

        Yes I do plan on moving her food from where it is now to a different place. I do plan on crate training.

        Thanks, I'll check that out and see if the breeder I'm looking at does that. But our cat has her claws and does tolerate young kids very well and other dogs that she has been exposed to.
