There is no rational explanation for how Lindbergh treated his son's corpse. None. He wasn't even needed for that identification and insisted on going - which was the only reason he was there.

Lindbergh's actions and lies occur for a reason. What was that reason? Well, I know that if I were on trial for a crime I'd want you on the Jury. I wouldn't offer a defense, I'd just let you make one up for me in the deliberation room.

If I have a dog that "bites" and someone is bitten, what's to be made of my assertion that my dog does not bite when everyone else in the world says he does? Well, if I am Lindbergh it gets ignored, or some crazy excuse gets used to justify it.

That's not real life.
