Aero-View of Warren-Quinlan Sta/Fisch Apt./Birritella Church
Sat Dec 2, 2017 15:57

The Journal-News of Rockland County for November 20, 1934 has an interesting picture of the Warren-Quinlan gas filling station and its close proximity to Isidor Fisch's apartment and the spiritualist church across the street.

Joseph Dunninger's book, Inside the Medium's Cabinet, also includes a picture of East 127th Street, taken from just outside Birritella's church, and claims the photo includes a view of Fisch's apartment across the street.

But the aero-view photo from the Journal-News captures the gas station, Fisch's apartment, and the spiritualist church all in ONE snapshot!

So you can see from another angle how very close these sites were to each other!

The gas station was literally around the corner from Fisch's apartment!

(See page 10 of "The Day's News in Pictures" section. The picture is in the center at the top of the page, and can be made bigger by clicking on the + sign in the upper right hand corner.)

Here is another newspaper, from East Liverpool, Ohio, that also published the picture:
