There is a recent quote on the other board:

Michael Melsky does not say who said:

"without the Lindberghs being aware of it...the Lindberghs would never let their baby be photographed..grandma and great aunt, had taken them without the Lindberghs being aware of it."

Those EXACT WORDS were taken from a 1976 letter that Marian C. Scott wrote to journalist Dorothy Bartlett McCardle at the time the TV movie came out in 1976.

Michael makes reference to this quote, but does not say where it came from.

The source is Marian C. Scott, and the original letter is in the Hugh Scott collection at the University of Virigina.

Here is a November 10, 2018 post that brings up the letter in light of Dorothy McCardle's 1978 book called Stalking the Feature Story.

The Marion Scott letter was located about 14 years ago.

I know Michael Melsky does not like to give me credit, but Michael, can you at least give Marian C. Scott proper credit for the 1976 letter that she wrote to Dorothy McCardle?

That exact quote came from Marian C. Scott. If she is given proper credit in Volumes 1 and/or 2, I apologize.

However, if you have failed to cite Ms. Marian C. Scott as the author of those quotes you currently have on your board, kindly correct matters in Volume 3. (And set the record straight on your board!)

(The University of Virginia needs to be acknowledged also.)
