Hi John, excellent post! We share a lot of the same thoughts and general interest around Hauptmann's inner workings and his refusal to confess, and I'd love to explore this some more here. I don't want to hijack Michael 5260's thread on the topic of typewritten ransom notes and hope that continues, but could you possibly do a bit of copy and paste with your recent post into a new thread, with the intent to discuss and develop more of a psychological profile of Richard Hauptmann?
