The Watchung Furniture House was in Plainfield, New Jersey.

Weiseman and Boliard lived in South Plainfield, New Jersey.

This table brace mystery should be able to be solved.

It's not rocket science.

I have photocopies of the table factory employees at work in the Mersman factory, but those photos are not dated.

Those pictures look like workers from the 1950s or 1960s.

This article says there were Mersman warehouses in many cities:

"While still based in Celina, Ohio, the company now known as The Mersman Bros. Corporation it changed names again in 1927 had warehouses scattered across the country in major metropolitan areas, including New York, Kansas City, Milwaukee, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Los Angeles and Minneapolis."

Did the tables first get shipped from Celina, Ohio to the places above, and then driven from the warehouses to stores such as the Watchung Furniture House?

    Sue, if Elmer Bolliard bought the table from the Watchung Furniture House in South Plainfield NJ, around 1940, I suppose it could have been sitting around for a couple of years at that location or... more
