Lindy wrote all dem notes???!!!***
Sat Apr 6, 2019 10:06

While I agree with Micheal 5260 that it was impossible for CAL to have written all the ransom notes, I take issue with the basis for his conclusion -- that the handwriting experts agreed that all the notes came from the same hand. I think that the "science" they practiced was a sham. They were all full of it. (CAse in point -- Osborn's son disagreed with his father, and only agreed after some other evidence pointed to Hauptmann! ALso, over 45 yrs. later, the Osborn firm was still fooling people with their so-called "expertise;" they told McGraw Hill that notes claimed by Philip Irving to have been written by Howard Hughes were the real thing. This prompted the publisher to give Irving a big advance on his projected book about Hughes. (And we know the rest of THAT story!) What I'd like to see (take note, Mark Falzini!) is forensic examination of all the notes to determine identical features to include a handwriting comparison. I think the FBI should be asked to do this. After all they were involved in the investigation, weren't they? It reminds me of claims made in 1977 by one Jos. Lynch that John Wilkes Booth's diary in the Ford's Theatre Lincoln Museum was suspect. (I won't go into details. Please don't ask me.) Lynch got a lot of publicity, and thanks to some people in high places (i.e. a couple of our most respected U.S. senators) the FBI was asked to examine the pages and announce its findings. That put an end to Lynch's ridiculous claims (altho he continued to say that the burea u messed up).

No, I am not familiar with the Bush memo case. And the way in which you wrote a line or two makes me think you are a handwriting "expert." Are you, or was that all conjecture?,
