There is a commonality between the message content of the Faulkner letter and the Mersman table confession.

Faulkner letter:

"these lines are not dictated by a desire to be informative."

"because I cannot come out in the open."

Mersman table:

"I cannot tell you my name because I was one of the kidnappers of the Lindbergh baby."

No inside information about the kidnapping, no name revealed, no astounding evidence that only a kidnapper or an accomplice could possibly know. Zero.

On such foundations are conspiracy theories built upon.
