Anybody of you into Belgian comic books?

You should be, you know. Not only becaus of Tintin, the Smurfs or the forever fluffy Marsupilami, but most of all because of Lucky Luke. Lucky Luke really takes the bisquit, you get a lot of Wild West stories about a lot of famous people that used to populate the area and the time, Calamity Jane, Jesse James, Sitting Bull or Sarah Bernhard, you also get a lot of real life actors populating the stories (Louis de Funes, David Niven, Jack Palance and many more) and a lot of fun poked at other (many of them Belgian...) comic books, for example the forever blundering detectives Dupont and Dupond from Tintin turn up in one of the stories working for Pinkerton.

Most of all I want to direct your attention to the album Chasseur de Primes (the Bounty Hunter) from 1972 with Lee as a .... well... surprise! surprise! ... bounty hunter. It is well-drawn, fun to read and a nice hommage to the Spaghetti West.

Though the Daltons actually are my favorite characters from the whole series, they are absolutely hilarious, including Ma Dalton. ;)
