Lee talked about being proud of his scene with Gregory Peck in this. Said he thought he was able to get the audience to feel real sympathy for his character which he liked and looked for in a heavy part rather than just playing the typical one dimension bad guy.

            And Boyd died of a massive heart attack playing golf in California in 1977. I think he was about 45. So he was gone well before we lost Lee. Boyd's career was getting bigger parts than Lee's was... more
