It boggles the mind, yet they offer this as their defence. Am I to believe this or mistrust it?
Of course, he might have been assaulted. Teen males can be both aggressive and foolhardy. But, Z was armed. When you go out armed it presupposes you are anticipating trouble... it may even suggest you are *looking* for trouble. I would suggest that those adults licensed by the state to carry arms must be held by that state to a higher standard than an unarmed youth.
Is he necessarily racist? I have no idea. But, as he should be held to ahigher standard by virtue of enjoying state permission to go around armed and to "stand his ground" so to his actions must be subjected to a closer examination for bias.
