MirageCan't use one at this point.Wed Apr 4, 2012 10:3622.214.171.124I have hypoglycemia unawareness and you can get into a whole lot of trouble on a pump if you can't tell when the glucose is too low. I had a tight control doctor and my body just stopped reacting. I don't sweat, don't shake, and I was still talking at 4 once. That's scary. My doctor is hoping that if I don't have any major hypoglycemic attacks for long enough, I will recover my awareness and the warning symptoms. Some people have recovered under those conditions. In the meanwhile, I use an injector. I am a little phobic of needles because as a child I couldn't understand why I was having shots all the time. I am not bothered as long as I can't see it go in.
