achristian1985don't take this personally, for general readersMon Apr 9, 2012 11:37184.108.40.206Anybody, and usually everybody at some point, can TALK about God. Anybody, and usually everybody at some point, can give their enlightened opinion about what God’s shortcomings are (like the blind men describing an elephant), and what they think He is or is not doing right. And what they think He should do in order to do a better job of running the universe. ALL of which is vanity, empty words briefly moving only the air. It is like everyone wanting to some day go see the Grand Canyon (as one example). Those who are serious do not just talk about it, they actually make concrete decisions regarding what do they need to do to actually see the Grand Canyon. And, if they are wise, they ask people who have already seen the Grand Canyon advice on the best and easiest way to get to the Grand Canyon- to actually experience the real thing. But most people just talk about wanting to see the Grand Canyon. And because they really do not have a desire to actually go there, they speculate about it according to their ‘informed’ opinions. And others enjoy complaining about the condition of the roads or the price of gas. Anyone who is really seeking God can find Him. He has made Himself easily available to everyone- at the cost of becoming a man and dying for us. The lake of fire was created as judgment for Satan and the angels who rebelled with him: It was NOT intended for man. BUT anyone who refuses to receive the free gift of eternal life will not be qualified for anything else but the eternal trash can. The human life that we are born with is not adequate for eternity: we need and were created to contain God. One of the valid arguments raised by agnostics is this: “Who would want to live forever as they are now?” So, the question is this: Are you seeking God, or do you just want to talk about Him?
