is powerful, even if it is fictional, is that the Powers recognize that it is deeply subversive and has to remain submissive to the Powers. This is the struggle between our American politician, Ryan, and his Catholic Church. The Catholic Church may be a chameleon and and quisling, but simply throwing the poor under the bus simply won't do, it undermines their myth as much as they undermined the pagan Roman myth.
