Dear guys here, I have been seeking to find out what scientists have to say about existence, and my impression is that they are rather silent on that question.

Basically in self-promoting scientism, the dirty laundry of physics got exposed, outside the fraternity. It has been exposed inside the fraternity for a decade or more. That people with PhDs can spout nonsense and get paid for it. That is the real controversy ... grant money for studying things that are almost impossible to study, and speculating on it in ways that are almost impossible to verify.

Thanks a lot for your replies.

Do you have your own blog or are you posting in a web forum where I can also join with?

I enjoy and am very keen to read debunking of pompous but more often than not vacuous scientists, in particular the know it all kinds, speaking so bathed in their own hubris.
