What a Miraculous God we serve

Do any of you ever think about how wonderfully patient God must be? As I look out at the inhumanity of this world, with the greed and apathy towards the suffering of others I find myself shaking my head in disgust. When I see the selfish attitude which says, 'I have mine, why should I care about anyone else?' I think of how it must sicken the Lord. Is there any wonder that He seems distant at times? Being a loving being, He must just feel sick at how we treat one another. I am in awe at His restraint as He holds back His anger from wiping us all out. I find myself thinking, what a miraculous God we serve while questioning if there might be anything in myself that could sicken Him? I am left with only one option; I pray "Lord, I want to be right in your eyes, please show me where I am wrong and help to become the servant that you would be pleased with."

Seems pretty much the same as #2. Though it implies arrogantly, that we know G-d's will for us.

Well said, for years we have heard the message of take care of number one. Selfishness is the first step to defeat in my book.
