Yes, the Jewish POV is that Christianity and Islam are wrong. But all the Abrahamic religions stem from a millenniums old folk culture. If is from that oral culture (Oral Torah) that the scriptures arise. There is a lot of similarity between Islam and Judaism of course. Christianity is more influenced by Buddhism. All three are influenced by Zoroastrianism.

The Tanakh (OT) is very judgmental too. That is what Buddhism added to Judaism ... more compassion. But also other-worldliness.

How do I read those verses? Typical polemic against the Elites, in Judah and elsewhere. Back then all scripture was Elite, since so few could read or write. So this was directed against the Elites ... by their Prophetic and Priestly oppositions.
