Supposedly only one in about 30,000 eggs has salmonella, and supposedly a healthier person will not get really sick even if they ingest it. I get my eggs from my veterinarian, and they are wonderful with very dark yolks and I use them to make Caesar salad dressing, a raw egg dressing. I am sure they are happy chickens, organic eggs although not certified as such. But yes, I am going to try it. When miners got poisoned by mercury, that is what they gave them, raw egg whites because it removes mercury from the kidney tubules...

      WE used to have a local dairy outlet store where you could get a milkshake with a raw egg if you wanted it. Best milkshakes I ever had, but they've been gone for many years. But seems an easy enough... more

      to drop a few raw eggs into a breakfast smoothie but have not tried it yet. I did view a video that Dr. Mercola had whereby he made his breakfast protein shake with a few raw eggs thrown it. Not sure ... more

        • I have never heard that about the egg whites. I get my eggs from a organic delivery service and it's the next best thing to having my own chickens I guess.

        Other then eating them raw in a smoothie, when I do cook them, I do try to eat them as minimally cooked as possible. Drives my husband nuts to hear me slurping my eggs...lol.
