DEAR Berta
Sat Feb 11, 2012 00:43

My dear Meningimates and Berta,
Thanks for connecting again and sharing your wisdom with us again about life changes, our choices and our challenges on these meningioma talk pages. Perhaps we didn't have as many primary caregivers and significant others for your own support in this faithful online community in an unfamiliar bt medical world as new meningioma survivors and yet you stayed with us sharing your own personal experiences and emotional changes as a caregiver and we all love you for it.

Change is the only constant in life. Stabilization and enrichment occur along the many paths we choose to follow on this journey we all share called life itself, its not really a specific destination. Its a communication process of human relationships.
One of the blessings I am most grateful for tonight is a new friendship with a women who was a close personal friend of our dear meningimate Karen Catlin. Karen knew we lived in the same city and she always tried to get us together for the ten years that I knew Karen...but neither of us ever got around to it.

We finally came together and consoled each other last April after Karen suddenly passed away she called me and now we have become good buddies. We do lunch and talk on the phone alot about our kids, our lives and our loves and share plants and arts and crafts ideas, my favorite social activities LOL I always love to do lunch with a girlfriend. We both feel that dear Karen is smiling down on us every time we get together and now sometimes I wonder why I didn't pay more attention and try to meet up with Karen's old girlfriend sooner. GBYAY Anne
