Hi Anne

I just got a chance to respond about your message and it honestly made me feel somewhat human again. I've had good days and bad days but overall the people that know and love me are not used to seeing me scared or cry so lately I've been trying my best to put on a smile and act as if all is normal. I cry when I'm alone and my boyfriend embraces it when I feel the need and he's around- in a way I feel better but sometimes I feel weak and think crying isn't going to change anything but reading your message made me feel that it may just be what I need sometimes and yes it's better than getting angry at the world over this. I try to tell myself that this is a disease and I have to learn to live with it and not for it. I look forward to getting through this next surgery and going on with my life and enjoying it. I think now how unfortunate it is but yet such a blessing to appreciate life because of my situation and see things clearer when you go through this. I value things I never acknowledged before ... I also treasure the smaller things most people I know take for granted.
I know this is not the end for me and may probably not be the last surgery I get but I'm growing into a certain kind of acceptance having done this before. I am scared about losing any quality of life but I'll leave that fate to my NS.
Thanks for posting and thanks for listening.

Christine
