Innocent bystander
Much better teachers than John failed
Tue Aug 22, 2017 08:12

Depending on your definition of "failed", of course. Failed to save the world, failed to create some kind of lineage of enlightened teachers. Those are the usual criteria, but maybe that's asking too much? Maybe if you evolve a bit, become more aware, than that itself is success. Who wrote the rulebook anyways? JP? JC? Jiddu Krishnamurti? K said that after 50 years of trying to enlighten people, NOT ONE has really heard me. Don't take my word for it, it's in his video "With A Silent Mind". Where are Ram Dass' successors? He raved on and on about how enlightened Neem Karoli was but where is Ram Dass' proof on enlightenment? Where are his successors? Just exactly how much bullshit was slung in the 70s abd 80s? Or maybe just maybe people did get something from their time with these teachers and maybe it wasn't just a big fat failure and people did evolve and become more aware. So stop your whining and count your blessings.
