It’s never an easy subject to address. But another war lies on the horizon. And it’s not what you think it will be. It’s not going to directly involve the United States. It’s not going to be about the Middle East. It’s not even going to involve terrorism.
But it’s nevertheless going to impact you, and quite dramatically. It’s going to dramatically push up the price of oil. And everything made from oil. And perhaps most importantly, it will be your final signal that China is starting to flex its military power as the world’s most-dominant economy.
I’m talking about something very few Americans are aware of. But they need to be. I’m talking about the possibility of a war in the South China Sea between China, Vietnam, the Philippines and even Malaysia.
An all-out fight to determine who controls the Spratly Islands, roughly 100 islands and numerous other islets and coral reefs that cover roughly 250,000 square kilometers of the South China Sea.
Most of the islets are barren land masses. Until fairly recently, nobody lived there ... or even wanted to live there. The coral islands were known mostly as a serious hazard to maritime navigation.
But the Spratly Islands sit atop an undeveloped 100 BILLION barrels of oil (equal to about 10% of current world oil reserves) and 882 BILLION cubic feet of natural gas.
And China wants that energy source, badly.
So it’s laying claim to the region, sending in its Navy to protect it and even starting to occupy it by building a military garrison on the tiny island of Yongxing ...
In the process, China is rattling its swords and precipitating a war where it will have to take on Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia and possibly even the Kingdom of Brunei, all of whom lay claim to large portions of the Spratly Islands and the rich energy reserves they hold.
I’ll have more for you on this coming war in my August issue of my Real Wealth Report. I’ll go into it in detail, and show you why it’s inevitable and how it will impact you.
But let me tell you right upfront: It’s going to happen, the United Sates will be powerless to stop it, and it will be your surefire sign that China now has as much geopolitical clout in the world as the U.S. does. Or perhaps even more.
I wouldn’t even be surprised if, behind the scenes, Washington gives Beijing implicit approval to go ahead and take control of the Spratly Islands.
After all, it wouldn’t be the first time Washington colluded with Beijing. They’re doing it right now with the value of the U.S. dollar and its relationship to the Chinese currency, the yuan.
You see, what Washington says – and what it does – are often two entirely different agendas. And that’s something you need to know about.
That’s also why I recently put together a presentation for you on how Washington and Beijing are working together, behind the scenes and in ways most analysts wouldn’t even fathom.
Right now, their main agenda is to “rebalance the global economy” – as they like to call it – which is nothing more than code-speak for devaluing the U.S. dollar and revaluing the yuan higher.
