Include in this "Pack" if kids was a child - we shall call "Jay."
Six years go JAY could neither Speak nor talk. He was given a series of Vaccinations that left him almost paralyzed. At 8 years old he glassy eyed and unresponsive to any one.
His Mother began detoxifying him. Within 2 years he could talk and responded to folks. The first words were: "What's That."
Fast forward to today at the zoo. Jay is interacting with other children at an emotions age of about 6-8, despite the fact that he is 14 --- but he IS interacting.
He engaged in a game of "Tag" for an hour with children ranging from 8-15.
The fact that he has a Sister a few years younger than him also helps allot - as she sort of Mentors him on how to act.
Jay also has a 15 year old friend from his High School Class there with him - Jay is in a Regular High School. The 15 year old Guy helps Jay fit in with others and understand that Jay is a little Different.
Jay read a Plaque Out loud today about "Dub Dub" the Harbor Seal that lived at the Zoo for 30 years. He did fine - in fact - he did great for a 14 year old.
What is fun to see is the other children reacting to how Jay has changed.
Not only are they seeing Autism "Cured" but watching Lyme's Disease (Jay was given Lyme in a vaccination, as are most Autistic kids) and watching Cancer go away in front of their eyes.
Forget about Radiation and Chemo and the Knife - these Little Children are watching these miracles occur right before their eyes. No one can tell them these miracles did not happen.
Until the time we left Jay led the way with an incessant curiousity about what is up ahead.
As with most Autistic Children -- he loves animals. In fact - the Zoo may be a great place for Jay to work at after he graduated form college.
Jay's High School GPA is about 3.9 at a regular High School. A few of the teachers do not like working with him because they are aware of his back ground so they downgraded his grade - that is OK. The School system hires based on Affirmative Action, not the best qualified. So a few teachers are intimidated by him - so what. They deal with it.
The best part is to see the Mom - so proud of Jay's Progress and so happy to have a Real Son.
There are times to cry - and this is one of them - to look into the Mother's Heart and realize how happy she is - a fairly Normal Child now. Jay can say: MOM, I LOVE YOU.
She is not a failure - she has a real son now who can think, act, perform and move forward in life. What a joy. He even carried some of the kids lunch in a back pack all day without complaining.
Moms - you are not failures.
You did not make your children autistic, vaccinations did.
Now YOU have hope.
