The appears to be continuing Fraud at the VA in Seattle at the Travel Pay and outpatient pay services office.
WE have learned here at Ch 77 and 23 in Seattle (All Day Live Will Wilson, Call 4 Investigation Pat Schupe) that there are several "Inconsistencies occurring there at the "Payee" office.
About 12 years ago the office had 12 people arrested or fired for raising Dead Patients and then creating Dentist Offices in their names and doing fillings, crowns, dentures and paying themselves.
Last month several people were arrested in Seattle for more fraud.
We have just learned of the inconsistencies:
1) Dental Fillings are falling out in record numbers, and many soldiers are finding "Chips" embedded in their fillings.
Someone at the VA is purchasing Low Grade Binding Agents for the fillings.
I had 4 fillings fall out last month myself - only 0ne of which the VA replaced.
I have 2 Service Connected problems, none of them have been addressed in 15 years, but they will give me Breast Reduction Surgery and Steroids. This is fully documented.
I am a Male, go figure.
2) When one goes to Seattle for a blood test they are paid for one way, at the rate of 41.5 cents per mile, but both ways for a regular appointment.
3) In Tacoma (Part of the Seattle Jurisdiction)VA Hospital they are paid for both ways with an $8 deductible for each month.
4) When one goes to Valor Medical Clinic in Federal Way (A Private Corporation paid by the VA, Seattle Division) you get no travel pay.
5) When one goes to Seattle they can get a Private Dentist to work on their teeth.
6) When one goes to the Tacoma VA you may not be paid to go to a private dentist - even if your teeth problems are 100% Service Created and they will not address them.
Inconsistent Pay Outs usually lead to Fraud and Abuse.
So there you have it - Hot off the press before the VA even gets the complaint.
