Eyes Open Report - - Undercover Footage Shows Planned Parenthood Official Admitting to Selling Aborted Baby Body Parts - - Chilling hidden camera footage from the Center for Medical Progress claims to show a Planned Parenthood official discussing selling body parts of aborted babies in violation of federal law.

The video, titled “Planned Parenthood Uses Partial-Birth Abortions to Sell Baby Parts,” features comments made by Dr. Deborah Nucatola, Planned Parenthood Federation of America’s senior director of medical services, explaining how the procedure happens and which human organs are in demand.

According to the video, the comments in the footage were made on July 25, 2014 to actors posing as a Fetal Procurement Company. Planned Parenthood Uses Partial-Birth Abortions to Sell Baby Parts - - The Center for Medical Progress - - - The Center for Medical Progress - -

“A lot of people want intact hearts these days because they’re looking for specific nodes,” Dr. Nucatola explained.

“Yesterday was the first time she (presumably a Planned Parenthood colleague) said people wanted lungs,” Nuatola continued. “and then, like i said, always as many intact livers as possible.”

“Every provider has had patients who want to donate their tissue and they absolutely want to accommodate them. They just want to do it in a way that is not perceived as, ‘This clinic is selling tissue, this clinic is making money off of this,’” the Planned Parenthood official says in the clip. “You know, I would throw a number out, I would say it’s probably anywhere from $30 to $10 (per specimen), depending on the facility and what’s involved.”

Dr. Nucatola, who is seen in discussion over a meal with the actors, goes on to explain which unborn fetus body parts she would avoid “crushing” if she is aware they need to stay intact in order to be sold.

“I’d say a lot of people want liver. And for that reason, most providers will do this case under ultrasound guidance, so they’ll know where they’re putting their forceps,” she said. “The kind of rate-limiting step of the procedure is calvarium. Calvarium—the head — is basically the biggest part. Most of the other stuff can come out in tact”

“We’ve been very good at getting heart, lung, liver, because we know that, so I’m not gonna crush that part, I’m gonna basically crush below, I’m gonna crush above, and I’m gonna see if I can get it all intact,” Nucatola explained in a disturbingly calm matter.

As the Center for Medical Progress’s video points out, the buying and selling of human body parts is a felony (42 U.S. Code 274e). - Also, the commercial trafficking of body parts from a aborted baby is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and/or a fine of $500,000 (42 U.S. Code 289g-2). - The head of the Center for Medical Progress project, David Daleiden, reacted to the shocking footage stating:

“Planned Parenthood’s criminal conspiracy to make money off of aborted baby parts reaches to the very highest levels of their organization. Elected officials must listen to the public outcry for Planned Parenthood to be held accountable to the law and for our tax dollars to stop underwriting this barbaric abortion business.”

Since the expoé was released a number of pro-life groups have reached out to congress demanding a investigation into the practices discussed by Dr. Nucatola in the hidden camera footage. - Reportedly, Dr. Nucatola deleted her twitter account shortly after the video’s release. - Planned Parenthood Doc Deletes Twitter Account After Exposed Selling Aborted Baby Body Parts NATIONAL STEVEN ERTELT JUL 14, 2015 | 10:57AM WASHINGTON, DC - - - - -

Sweet Cakes owners told to pay fine or face lien on home - - By KATU News - - Published: Jul 8, 2015 at 10:12 PM PDT - - PORTLAND, Ore. – The former owners of a Gresham bakery found guilty of discriminating against a lesbian couple have now been told to pay their big fine by Friday.

Melissa and Aaron Klein have been ordered to pay the couple $135,000 for refusing to bake a cake for their wedding.

The decision from Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian also slaps a cease-and-desist order on the Kleins, banning them from advertising their beliefs. The couple contends the ruling is too broad and violates their First Amendment rights.

“In a sense he is telling me, Aaron Klein, a private citizen, that he can tell me to never speak of this again or I’ll be guilty of breaking his cease-and-desist order. That breaks the First Amendment,” Aaron Klein said.

“We’re not going to be silent either,” said Melissa Klein. “We’re not going to stop talking about our faith, and we’re not, I mean, that’s a part of our life.”

The Kleins say they plan to appeal the judgement against them. But in the meantime, the Oregon Bureau of Labor and Industries isn’t backing down either, threatening to put a lien on their house if the couple doesn’t contact them about payment.

The bureau also issued a statement that reads in part, “There is no gag order preventing the Kleins from voicing their disagreement with the ruling or their opposition to anti-discrimination laws. … The Sweet Cakes decision directs them to pay damages and refrain from discriminating against future customers.”

Final order: Sweet Cakes bakery must pay $135,000 to lesbian couple
By Staff and the Associated Press Published: Jul 2, 2015 at 1:30 PM PDT - - - PORTLAND, Ore. — The owners of a Gresham bakery must pay $135,000 to a lesbian couple who were refused service more than two years ago, the Bureau of Labor and Industries ruled Thursday.

In January, a judge ruled that Sweet Cakes by Melissa unlawfully discriminated against a same-sex couple by refusing to bake a cake for their wedding.

The final order awards a combined $135,000 for emotional damages to the victims, Rachel Bowman-Cryer and her wife, Laurel.

“This case is not about a wedding cake or a marriage. It is about a business’s refusal to serve someone because of their sexual orientation. Under Oregon law, that is illegal," the bureau's final order states.

"Within Oregon’s public accommodations law is the basic principle of human decency that every person, regardless of their sexual orientation, has the freedom to fully participate in society. The ability to enter public places, to shop, to dine, to move about unfettered by bigotry.”

The Oregon Equality Act of 2007 says businesses cannot discriminate or refuse service based on sexual orientation - just as they cannot turn away customers because of their race, sex, diability, age, or religion.

It provides an exemption for religious organizations, schools, and serving alcohol to minors, but does not allow private businesses to discriminate based on sexual orientation.

The defendants, bakery owners Aaron and Melissa Klein, can now file with the Oregon Court of Appeal.

The Kleins closed their Gresham store in 2013 and operate their business from home. One of their attorneys, Anna Harmon, criticized the order, noting that same-sex marriage was not legal in Oregon at the time of the cake request.

"This is a shocking result which shows the state's relentless campaign to punish Oregonians who live and work according to their faith," Harmon said.

"Aaron and Melissa have worked hard for what they have," she added. "They are living on the fruits of American entrepreneurship. Now the State of Oregon, through an administrative agency, has ordered that all they worked for should be taken away simply because they declined to participate in an event which violated their religious beliefs."

= = = = - Brewers tasked with turning sewage into suds - Posted: Apr 30, 2015 10:13 AM PDT - By STEVEN DUBOIS Associated Press - PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) - Some companies boast of making beer with spring water from majestic mountains.

They won't be competing in the upcoming Pure Water Brew Challenge, in which an Oregon wastewater treatment operator has asked home brewers to make great-tasting beer from hops, barley, yeast and the key, not-so-secret ingredient: treated sewer water.

The point of the contest is not to find Portland's next trendy craft beer. Rather, it's an effort to get people talking about how a vital resource can be reused thanks to advanced water-filtration systems.

"We need to be judging water by its quality, and not by its history," said Mark Jockers, a spokesman for Clean Water Services, which runs four wastewater treatment plants in the Portland suburbs. "The water we're producing is significantly cleaner than what the safe drinking standards are for water that comes out of taps across the United States."

The utility plans to release 300 gallons of highly purified water in early June to roughly 20 home brewers from the Oregon Brew Crew, the state's oldest home-brewing club. A panel of experts will judge the beers in late July or early August. The victor wins $100, five others will get $50, and their kegs will be taken to an international water conference in Chicago. Though state regulators have approved the safety of the water, the beer won't be sold at stores or bars.

Though some might find toilet-to-tap totally gross, places from Singapore to parts of California and Texas use treated effluent for drinking water, generally mixing it into the regular supply.

Advocates of water reuse like to say all water is reused. When one town treats its wastewater and discharges it into a river, some of it eventually finds its way into another town's drinking supply.

"We all live downstream from someone," said Zachary Dorsey of the WateReuse Association, a nonprofit that supports water recycling.

The rainy Portland area has never had to consider intentionally drinking wastewater. In fact, the city made national headlines last year when it wasted 35 million gallons of drinking water because one man urinated into an open-air reservoir.

Clean Water Services says a growing population and environment factors might eventually pressure the supply in the Pacific Northwest. Its hope is to change Oregon regulations before there's a crisis.

Its process for purifying the water for the beer contest includes ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis and advanced oxidation - terms that don't exactly fire the public's imagination.

Oregon Brewers Festival founder Art Larrance sits on the utility's advisory board. He figured if you want to get Oregonians talking about recycled water, you have to make beer. The contest was born.

Some water cleaned by the utility goes for irrigation, but most is discharged into the Tualatin River. Last year, Clean Water Services held a contest in which brewers used water drawn from the river. That batch contained 30 percent treated wastewater. This year's competition will be 100 percent "sewage brewage."

Ted Assur won the top prize in the river contest, defeating a dozen competitors with his Vox Max Belgian beer. He said the contest was unique because participants were told to make beer that highlights the water.

"As a brewer, that's not usually the ingredient you're highlighting; it's either the malt or the hops or the yeast," he said. "I took it to mean something light, refreshing."
