Ed, After helping B CO. when they got hit by the big Jap tank and infantry attack my partner and I came back to our company and just had time for a cup of coffee when compnay moved up hill. As you know it wasn't long before we lost a great Co, Commnader Charles Durffee and my platoon Lt.Josph Palmer from machine gun fire coming from top of cave that also was firing a artillery from cave. This was a great lost. As I mention before Bill Seren or what ever his name was wearing starched khaki uniform and piss cuter wearing a pearl handel revolver on his hip took over. We thought who in the world is this gung ho Marine. Anyway he didn't last long because he got us too far out in front and Col.Bill Jones got rid of him when he tried to give Willie K the lip.
