Do anyone have a map or maps of the location the 8th Marines occupied during their NZ days of R&R or training? 1st Battalion is of primary interest.

            Is there anyway pictures of this camp could be found? Archives maybe? I am still hoping to see a pic of my dad at camp or with the other Pharmacists mates from Tarawa or Guadalcanal.

                              John, as you know in combat we never called or yelled for a Corpsman. If the Japs heard the name they would shoot you if they could.

                My Dad was at Camp Paekakariki. He was 2/8 on Tarawa and 1/6 ( I think!) on Guadalcanal. I'll ask my husband tonite, he knows. Thanks for the info about the website!
