I just received my father's service record and would like to know where his unit landed on Tarawa and the path after landing.
He was a Platoon Sargent and his unit changed a few times but looks like he was in 3rd Battalion 15th Marines G Battury
I would appreciate if anyone knows the best way to find this information.
Thanks
