Camp Tarawa, Hawaii

My Dad was at Tarawa with the 2nd MarDiv (2nd Battalion, 10th Marines, Battery "E"), and went to New Zealand afterwards and then on to Hawaii where he spent the duration of the war due to severe malaria. He returned stateside in May 1945 and was discharged in September of that year. I, too, would be extremely interested in any records and/or accountings of experiences for his time in Hawaii. I have one photo of him from Hawaii standing with an unknown sailor.
