History Flight, Inc. is wholly responsible for the recovery of 2nd Lt. Moore. History Flight raised the funds, hired the experts, and sent them to Tarawa, where they have been continuously doing the hard work of searching for and recovering MIAs in a complex, challenging environment.

Following a recovery, the organization performs full laboratory treatment, including cleaning, drying, and photographing remains, and writing an *actually* comprehensive report, based on physical evidence, not speculation. It also pays for top odontologists to make dental comparisons in the field. And it liaises with the DPAA to arrange for transfer.

Not that any of that compares, of course, to the stupendous achievement of sending a not-necessarily correct report to a family and falsely implying that you deserve credit for a given discovery.
