Hi I don't know if any of you remember us but my daughter is Sanae. She was diagnosed with citrullinemia when she was 7 days old. My question to any family with a child that has her condition is have you ever been exposed to any PCB's or toxic metals that you know of during your pregnancy? The reason i ask is because where I was living when my daughter was born is on a toxic dump site from years ago. I know this disorder is supposed to be only heredity but I have to wonder. She is actually my 4th pregnancy with my husband, the 1st ended in a miscarriage but the 2 children before her are fine. She was the only one I had while living there. She is doing exceptionally well. She can eat some meat, dairy, seafood, yes seafood, all the things she is not supposed to eat. I asked if she could just have a partial deficiency and her doc said no that she is just "lucky". I feel there is still not enough info on this disorder for the docs are still studying it.
