My daughter was diagnosed when she was 17 days old! My daughter to can eat some dairy and she loves chicken nuggets! For years my daughter didn't have a high ammonia then one day just a few weeks ago it got high and she had t be addmitted to the hospital! I just want you to be careful b/c I think as they get older the dissorder becomes more stressful on their bodies! I always thought maybe she would out grow it but I don't think tha will ever happen!! It is cool to actually see that a child with a metabolic disorder can eat meat I am so scared to give her red meat so I stick with chicken nuggets and turkey!!! Her daily allowance is 28 grams of protein a day!!! How old is your daughter and what is her daily allowance? What kind of med. does she take? Well take care and God Bless You and Your Family!!!!
