Destineys gift

I just wanted to let you all know that Destiney has received her gift of life. She was originally transplanted 1 week ago today. The surgery went perfect. Upon moving to PICU she started to crash and they took her back to the OR. The surgeon said as soon as he saw the liver it was obvious it wasn't working and they relisted her. Within hours they had to take her back in and remove the liver because it was killing her. We prayed and waited and watched the most awesome team work their hardest to keep her going and she worked her hardest to not give up. Destiney is now the record holder for surpassing 94 hours without a liver and surviving. She received her second gift early Friday morning and is still fighting hard. They want her to rest and get off a lot of fluid so they can go back to the OR and reconstruct the bile ducts and close her up. She is by all means our Christmas miracle and I had to share! God is good and he is holding onto our little girl!
