The City has been awarded over $1.15 million dollars to hire 5 more firefighters from a federal FEMA grant. This covers all pay and benefits for 2 or 3 years. This money is free and unencumbered. There is a resolution on council tomorrow night to accept this free money! Please ask your council person to vote yes to accept this free money with no strings attached. It will save millions of dollars over the next 2 to 3 years for the City.
