Where I live in the desert there are many ring-neck doves. Every early evening I feed them and they gather in my front and back yards and coo themselves silly. Unfortunatly, after it gets dark the neighborhood dogs start barking. They're like submarines sending out sonar signals. A dog blasts out one arf. Seconds later another dog somewhere else feels obliged to answer in kind. Pretty soon there's a dozen dogs barking. That's when I get out my powerful 'green laser' pen. I illuminate the houses/trees,etc. at each dog's house. The dog goes total gonzo nuts, barks up a storm. Couple minutes later the owner comes running out, screams "Shut the hell up you gawdamn mutt". Dog whimpers, goes silent. I wait about five minutes then illuminate the dog's house again with my green laser. Dog bursts into a raving storm of barking thinking the bright green spot must be a UFO. Owner rushes outside again wearing pajamas, screams at the dog, Threatens to kill it if it does'nt shut up. This is lots of fun to me.
