This didn't take long. Lockmart just produced a planar array of microscopic optical elements for imaging purposes:

I think the video does confuse resolution with light bucket. If you want to resolve better images of very distant objects with a telescope you need a bigger light bucket. That means a planar array as large as possible, e.g. kilometer-sized, or 100-km sized, the point being much larger than any other kind of optical telescope, bigger even than Moire.
