Traffic/parking didn't seem any worse than usual IMHO. Granted it was Sunday and Highland was avail for limited street parking, but closures are only on Hollywood Blvd between Orange and Highland and on Hawthorn Ave.

Missed The Mercenary so couldn't tell you about the presentation (I had seen that in 2008 at the Egyptian in 35mm, with reels 3 and 4 switched and the opening credits sourced from a VHS Turner Classic Movies recording!) Short while after Suspiria screened in a pristine 35mm print, the theater refilled and John Landis and Franco Nero were invited to the front where Landis joked to Nero "You killed me once, right? Was it a Corbucci?" to which Nero replied "No, Enzo Castellari." Then Dario Argento took the stage and got a warm reception. He stayed to watch his Dracula 3D preview and his Giallo star Adrien Brody was in attendance as well. Prior to the Django screening, Nero greeted fans in the lobby but did not intro the film as scheduled. Django was shown in Italian with subtitles and looked like Blu-ray (it held up well though on the 40 ft screen). Nice to watch the movie with a good-sized crowd, even at that late hour, many of which were Italian. :)
