Just read some of the links to the blockbuster news that Franco Nero will be reprising his iconic character Django. It seems confusing that he goes up against white supremacists until I read further into it to find that it takes place in 1914-15 and he's a consultant to D.W. Griffith's The Birth of a Nation. Is this the best idea for a plot John Sayles could come up with? I get that Nero is getting older and they can't set a new Django around the same decade as the original, it just wouldn't be plausible. But I'll still go see it when it's released.
