Dear Anonymous, I agree with Pete and knowing Pete as I do, I find it difficult to believe he has anything other than the sportís best interest at heart. If you want to try the argument of volunteers giving up time, there are few who give up more time and energy to get things organised on the Clyde and as he is a national race officer I suspect that his observations that protests against the race committee may be upheld should be taken seriously. The volunteers in the IRC Champs do, like all others, give up a great deal of time to stage events, however, there first consideration is running a great and fair event and to that end, I suspect they couldnít give a ratís arse where input comes from to help. This is much better than watching all your work turn to shit. Whilst we are on the subject, I believe that the words ďin alteration to RRS...Ē should only be used in the SIís of any event if it is absolutely necessary or greatly enhances that event.

I'm sure the intentions with the post were good. After all I'd put good money on some boats not reading the sailing instructions and then thinking wtf when they started racing. Whatever angle you... more
Even if the technical content of the post was accurate and it may well be the side comments and inference was not necessary by the author "Pete". A forum is not the place to do it. I am sure an... more
I actually hope that your next post you put your name to it. Pete, is always wright. It would seem from his post he has been fustrated trying to get the rules correct. If someone protested that the... more
