Pete's post does not to me read as a slag. It is a reasoned criticism which is not personal and as such is entirely valid, especially, coming as it does, from a respected, experienced and popular race officer. This forum is often checked out by lurkers who are also organisers of events and it is useful and hopefully occasionally constructive if sometimes annoying, for them to read the comments of their clientele posted here. It is also right and proper for those who disagree with an argument to state their disagreement but preferably without disparaging personal asides.
And I would remind users that those who post anonymously have far less credibility than those who attach their names to their posts.

I'm sure the intentions with the post were good. After all I'd put good money on some boats not reading the sailing instructions and then thinking wtf when they started racing. Whatever angle you... more
