Hitman - The Hitman is the most popular mercenary class because it is the best all around. They are formidable fighters and have above average speed, strength, endurance, armor toughness, weapon power, etc. They do not naturally excel in any specific area, but they also have no particular weaknesses. This class is an excellent choice because of its ability to handle almost any situation, and has such broad versatility that it is the only class not divided into separate types.

Rogues specialize in two things: Stealth and Speed. They deceive their enemies rather than fight them in the open. Rogues may not be the strongest mercenaries or wear the toughest armor, but they're the absolute best when it comes to Covert Ops. The two Rogue types are Spy and Thief.

Thief - Thieves are masters of invisibility. They can move quickly and without being noticed, preferring to scale a wall or crack a safe than to be out on a battlefield. That is why most thieves buy the Daredevil and Escape Artist attributes, as well as knowledge in computers.

Spy - Spies are infiltration experts and their intelligence is second only to Intellect class characters. They are also specialists at gathering information and can effortlessly blend in with crowds or pose as people that they aren't. However, the biggest difference between the Thief and the Spy is that spies are slightly more likely than thieves to stand and fight rather than avoid combat. Spies commonly purchase the Linguistics and Street Smarts attributes, and almost always have the Con personality concept.

If doing serious damage is what you love, then this is the class for you. Bombers are the toughest characters and use the most powerful weapons in the game. Their methods may lack subtlety and finesse, but who needs a scalpel when you can use a broadsword? The two types of Bomber are Demolitionist and Terrorist.

Demolitionist - Demolitionists have the strongest armor in the game and can therefore take the most punishment. They are the slowest characters, but are nearly invulnerable to damage. That is why Demolitionists specialize in using short range explosive weapons (such as grenades, flamethrowers, etc). However, some Demolitionists are so big that they use their own bodies as living wrecking balls. Not even buildings stand a chance against them. Some Demolitionists purchase the Abnormally Large Size advantage as well as an Elemental Invulnerability.

Terrorist - Far more underhanded than their Demolitionist counterparts, Terrorist characters prefer using long ranged explosive weapons. This includes missiles, bazookas and bombs set on any sort of detonator (even land mines). Terrorists aren't as slow as Demolitionists, but that is because their armor is much lighter. Terrorists often purchase mechanical knowledge (allowing them to sabotage machines, build bombs, etc).

Assassins posses stealth and speed almost equal to that of Rogues. But, unlike Rogues, Assassins have only one purpose: to kill. And they are good at it. The power of their attacks is second only to that of Bombers (and far less clumsy). However, Assassins have several drawbacks. They wear very light armor and lack endurance. That is why Assassins specialize in attacking one target at a time. They can become exhausted or overwhelmed in a chaotic brawl, so they usually leave the drawn out melee combat to Hitman class characters. The two Assassin types are Sniper and Ninja.

Sniper - Snipers are expert marksmen that use distance weapons such as guns and lasers. They are terrific at (but not limited to) long range shots. Snipers can hit a bullís-eye from incredible distances and use their stealth skills to do it without being detected. It usually comes in handy for Snipers to purchase several Acute Senses.

Ninja - Ninja is the best character type for close combat. They are assassins who use martial weapons (like swords) and throwing weapons (such as knives or shirukens), but are also proficient at unarmed fighting. Ninjas often purchase the Daredevil and Kung-Fu advantages.

Intellects are thinkers, not fighters. They aren't as strong, fast or agile as the other classes, but they more than make up for it with their smarts. The Intellect's skill at complex thought makes them one of the most powerful classes in the game. The two Intellect types are Scientist and Mage.

Scientist - These can be anything from doctors to astrophysicists. Their high intelligence makes them useful to many organizations, and sometimes even the leader. Scientists usually purchase extensive knowledge advantages. For instance, anatomy lets them heal/repair other characters, mechanics lets them build devices or reploids, and the benefit of computers skills is obvious.

Mage - Mages are magic users. Characters devoted to the study and practice of the mystical arts. Any character in the game has the potential to use magic, but for Mages it is much easier and much more potent. Mages must be biological (not reploids), must have the Wizard personality concept, and usually purchase the Arcane Knowledge attribute.
