Hi, I'm not only newly diagnosed with fm, but have never joined a forum before. I need to now cuz I really want to learn from other people's experience treating & coping with fm. I live in Rockford, IL and haven't been able to find any support groups to attend...maybe I'll start one. Anyway, I have a great doctor who is carefully working with me to relieve my symtoms. I currently take tramadol which has really given me a huge amount of relief AND energy, however, it does not help the "breakthrough" pain (which I have frequently) so we're trying to figure something out for that. I tried celebrex, lyrica and he now wants me to try valium cuz it has muscle relaxer "qualities." Any advice or experience anyone has I would GREATLY welcome your thoughts. THANK YOU!
