KevinNorhing you say...Mon Jun 18, 2012 8:41pm188.8.131.52Goes against the idea of orthodoxy or the tradition as I have come to understand it and teach it. As much as certain voices in and out of the tradition are sure they know what the tradition is, there is just as much push for broad understanding. In the Catholic tradition, there are all the different orders of priests, nuns and lay movements with various charisms and different ways of prayer. Wide spectrum and leeway given in pastoral counseling as well as the teaching of conscience which holds that if one 's well formed conscience is opposed to church law, one is to follow their conscience and not church law.

The tradition at its best allows for uniqueness on the path and doesn't use orthodoxy as a hammer as it is unfortunately something used.
