Just because you have "been there" and have family "living in the area" translates to Aurora being "extremely liberal" which translates to "not many folks there willing to take responsibility for their own personal security" because a psycho who was well-armed and armored shot and killed a bunch of people in a dark and crowded theater. Did you take an exit poll of the people fleeing the theater to see whether most of them were politically "liberal" or "conservative", too?
