Fantastic news!

Hope your women's team has a fantastic season. It's so cool that you're getting their games included. Keep me posted on how they do.

Expecting great things from my Thorns. They're quite possibly standing pat (for the most part) on their roster...but why wouldn't they? I want them to consider dangling someone pretty big (although not Tobin-big) to Boston to try and get the first pick...and draft Rose Lavelle. But I suspect that's about as likely as the Swansea front office making a good decision. Regardless, they're the deepest team in club WoSo...and just broke the 10K barrier in season ticket holders!

I haven't been able to abandon my Citizens, Pep notwithstanding. I do think he's being exposed as not as good as his reputation, at least when he's in a genuinely deep league. Much of his top-flight career has been in leagues where many of the games are played against tomato cans. In the Premier League, a relegation-zone team can beat the table leader, at least now and then. I think they'll hang on for a CL spot...but won't challenge for the title, even if Chelsea collapses. As you say, it's too crowded at the top this year, and the team isn't quite "right." Your Dogs have some work to do for a shot at a tournament...hope they can pull it off.

The Timbers haven't made a lot of moves, but getting David Guzman from Saprissa (Costa Rica) was a great idea. Two d-mid destroyers (Diego Chara being the other) and a reversion to a more defensive approach is called for, I think.

I told you how our local club "Grand Rapids Football Club" had a great season last year winning our league and winning a playoff and taking the final to penalties (but losing there). Well, 2017 is... more
