Continual censure of Israel at the UN and other international venues in a manner not proportional to its comparative human rights record is certainly a real thing...but what does that have to do with leftists? The Muslim-majority nations that have led the effort (for decades) to make that happen are anything but leftist. They are, in fact, among the most politically and socially conservative nations on earth.

Your speculation that criticism of Israel by the left can only be anti-Semitism because it seems disproportionate is logically fallacious: it fails to rigorously eliminate other explanations. The focus on Israel, in my view, lies more with the fact that we hear so much more about Israel (and the endless Middle East conflict in general) than we do about other nations with human rights problems. The squeaky wheel gets the grease...
