considering the incompetence I see in CPS.

I will tell you a true story. A friend of mine had a very active toddler who climbed out of his crib regularly. One day when they went to pick him up, they noticed his lower arm hurt. They took him to the hospital to make sure everything was ok. The attending decided this was a child abuse case. The parents were not allowed to accompany the child for x rays. They sat in ER for hours upon hours before a CPS representative showed up who told them they were going to take the child because she didn't have time to process all the paperwork before her dinner engagement (I kid you not, I saw it in person). At that point I took the attending aside and told him in no uncertain terms that if he didn't want to be up to his eyebrows in a lawsuit (along with the hospital) they had better fix the matter. A dinner engagement is NOT reason to remove a child from a perfectly safe home. Of course the final investigation showed no abuse, but nonetheless that record remained on the family's file for YEARS.

  • What would happen would be that the government, in its infinite incompetence, would license the wrong people . The welfare bum class would grow and the working class would shrink into oblivion.... more
