I shared this on Mondo's board but here's the deal.

I take a broad spectrum anti-depressant, anti-anxiety medication *generic*. It is the best thing that has happened in terms of on-going maintenance. But I have one of the side effects of tinnitus. The doctor wanted to see if the brand name might alleviate that issue. He gave me a coupon from the manufacturer but when I went to the drug store - the insurers won't cover it. That medication would have been well over 1,000 a month WITH the coupon. That is more than I make in 2 weeks. Needless to say I stick with my 6.00 a month generic.

This story is just a tiny part of a much bigger issue since many of our representatives on both sides have money in big Pharm.
