It is interesting that sometimes I read your posts and agree with many of your points/priciples.

We just differ on how to 'reach the top of the mountain'. . . . sometimes.

No matter - for me the bottom line is this: am I dealing with a decent person? If the answer is yes, I can accept that they differ with me on certain things, that they hang out in another camp from I.

If the answer is no, I don't believe in tolerating them, regardless of what camp they hang in, whether they belong to a minority, belong to a majority or are all by their little lonesome.

As I said elsewhere, I do think that in our drive to do what is right and stamp our bigotry, etc., we as a society often times are too tolerant and bend over too far backwards. I do believe that we have gone too far over the edge in concerning ourselves with the 'rights' of the perps at the expense of the ill effects on the victims.

At times, I envy the peace that religion seems to give its adherents. I know of no such peace. But I can accept the good religion has done in the world while rejecting the bad it has done. I don't believe in getting rid of religion completely for as I see it, that is throwing the baby out with the bath water. Religion can evolve to be something more than it is now. The course it takes is dependent on its adherents.
