that witnesses not only do not agree with one another, but disagree with themselves when interviewed at different times. You cannot get the same witness to give essentially the same testimony on two different occasions. Hence, about all you can learn with reasonable certainty from eyewitness testimony is the name and address of the witness.

So, to the advocates of eyewitness testimony, I say NONSENSE. If you ask 4 witnesses to recount the same event on 3 different occasions each, you inevitably get 12 (not 4) different stories. OK, how do you decide which of these 12 different stories is the truth? Flipping 12 sided dice?
